Like the title says, here are a couple of interesting TVs down south....in Surrey.

Interesting, not least due to the current price and the 'amusing but accurate' write ups.

The seller is absolutely right! Noticed just recently the same thing, even though I think CRTs should be deemed to be worth more than the standard public viewpoint on CRTs, hugely inflated prices are being asked even for 14" tvs, stuff like £70-£100, even saw one for something like £140 the other day! Thought "Wow, I must have a fortune sitting in my unit".... or maybe not. LOL

I paid 99 pence for my 25" Tosh 6 yrs ago. If it ever fails I doubt I would justify the ludicrous current prices to replace it.

I paid £75 for my B&O MX7000, worth every penny, has the latest firmware too.

Laugh as you may but CRTs are going up in price, I know as I sell them.
The Toshiba in the above post is worth nothing, people seem to think if it’s crt it’s worth cash just by putting “gaming tv” in the title.
It depend on particular models and makes, there are collectors out there for the cheap crap tvs but they’re not worth the hassle of selling for paupers cash amounts.

They’re all of little use as anything other than gaming TVs, really - no tuner, no HDMI etc.

I’d be wary of paying lots for any CRT as you can’t take it to a TV repair shop when it conks out.

There’s an authentic beauty in the imperfections of a lesser grade CRT too

A good write up by the seller, however on the point of PVM's - it's not propaganda at all, they are technically superior to most consumer CRTS of the 90's era.

There’s better PC monitors out there than PVMs, they’re just 31kHz upwards and usually 21” or less.

Yeah I meant to say that myself in my reply, PVM's and BVM's and equivalents by other makes are superior to consumer TV's as you say, but the seller is spot on about the prices. I've got broadcast monitors that are almost as good on composite as a normal telly is on RGB! Smile

I love a regular decent consumer CRT (JVC/SONY etc) after all that's what we all used back in the day, however I do have a PVM. It only cost £30 so not exactly a bank breaker at the time.
Yes, there are some cracking monitors out there also.
