looking to change the monitor. in a chase hq uk machine.
looking for same size and same shape led .
were would i get one .and whats the best .

Not sure why you would want to do that but just buy a tv and decase it.

Do not buy one of those expensive arcade lcds.

(sorry - joking). LCDs never look right in a cabinet for most of us - they're 'too good' and show up the picture for what it is (blocky). Scanlines of a CRT tv make the 15kHz picture look nicer. Plus it's removing authenticity.

Any LCD alternative also needs to accept 15kHz, or you'll have to put a converter in there. Cheaper ones are laggy and a bit crap. The LCD may have some lag too.

TV would be my choice too if you can't get yours repaired. Just a few resistors on the scart lead.
It's only something like a 20" monitor, too, by the looks of it - should be able to get a TV to fit in that.

Another outrun ruined... Dead  I can understand why people would want to replace LCD for reliability reasons but if you are going that route, just sell the cab and make a box for the lcd and use mame instead.

hi guys
should have said a have owned it for 7 years it was my first cab .not the best condition when i got.that why was looking for a whole new cab.
when i first got it .the mono was gone.so at that time i done something crazy ripped it out and binned the mono.done a mono swap to led wide screen.
does not look the best would love to put it back to original but as its hard to find a good one now.
so have to look for next best thing.
a 20 inch lcd square this time.

also have probs with the sound i can hear it but making a cracking sound.
.trying to get cab up and running.

going to get all new side art stuff from guy on this site.
and tidy it up.

also own
s.c.i.
two jamma cabs
outrun
star wars pinball
and about 30 pcbs
golden axe.shinobi.t-type.toki.double dragon.
and lots of other ones

all cab with original mono just chase hq lol

just back on this after years
