This one you brought or a package you received ?? Like the post office aint in enough shit at the minute. To be fair they will counterfeit anything now a days if they can make a few quid. In the Aviation industry there are so many counterfeit parts its unreal , Lots of planes & lives have been lost through this. Basically they dont care as long as they get money. 100's of planes out there with potentially failing parts that are about to fail , no doubt one will be fatal.
I had a note from royal mail saying I owed like £1.50 for a package as the sender had not paid enough post , Told them send it back !! They did I assume. I aint paying to recieve a bill !

Currently making my own bathroom.
A kitchen shop wanted £400 just for 4
Caskets … so I have been to the rubbish
Department of a kitchen supplier and they have allowed me to take from the waste .. just need to see what Frankenstein bathroom cabinets I can make from the unwanted damaged and wet waste kichen materials ..
But I think I have saved including doors etc… over a grand .. but not sure how it will look 🤣

A fiver is quite a steep surcharge considering a 1st class large letter stamp is currently £1.95.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me previously (before the barcoded stamps were introduced). A eBay seller sent me a parcel which had a dodgy 2nd Class stamp on it. I sent the seller a photo of the package with the surcharge label and requested that they issue me a refund of the surcharge cost.

Had similar last year with a cheap Blu-ray off eBay, hadn't arrived after two weeks so contacted the seller who immediately refunded which I thought was a bit odd, a few days later had a card through the door saying I needed to pay a fee so went down to the parcel office to see what it was and it was a Blu-ray sized envelope with a fake stamp label like that on it. Didn't pay it and told them to send it back, guy there said ita been happening for a while which is why they brought in the new stamps with the barcodes.
It can be a genuine mistake from the seller though, spoke to a school this year and they had bought a load of stamps from Amazon, which they said they normally do And had no issues, but ended up being scammed and sent a load of fakes which then caused all the parents to have to pay a fee when they sent out a batch of letters with them.

Yeh that’s what the post office clerk said. He said this year they are seeing a lot and they are all over the internet for sale

So thats what guy on ebay was going on about, I didn't get a couple of Blurays arrive and he said it will be at the sorting office but didn't explain why, eventually I got a card to pay but already had my money back, then I saw another message from him about dodgy stamps off ebay
