Just an awesome vid, keep em coming.  I was zapped right back, fairs were just the same around my way, man I could almost smell it.

Wonder how many of the cabs featured are now in collectors hands :)

Absolutely top drawer stuff right there! That was an awesome nostalgia trip. Ha and I remember folk sewing beer towels onto their coats like the Skol dude!
I think that's the first UK retro arcade video I've seen. Looking forward to the next one! Thumbs Up

The person that took the film was the local video shop owner I believe, and this could be why they had access to equpiment back then.  Of course it's not Forcefulfil LOL  Just someone that looks a LOT like him. Other people that have met Forcefulfil also thought it was him LOL

I'm just editing 1986-87 and will upload shortly!

Also there's a nice treat for IDChappy Wink

Doubt Outrun was in this video as it was released to UK in summer of 86 but i could be wrong.

Here's 1986-1987.  Enjoy!

Just to be clear guys, I am not the owner/creator of these incredibly films (I'm not old enough being 9 in 1986!).  I'm just editing the arcade bits out of hours of material I stumbled across online, as they mean something to me being that they are from the fair that came to my local town.  I will post the full links to the the owners videos after editing, where these can be seen in their entirety, to enjoy the full fair experience from setup to closure, and to give the owner his just credit for doing these at the time.  The background music on the videos is fantastic btw, and really takes you back.  I recommend watching all of them from start to finish, and to contact the owner to tell him how amazing they are, and what a great job he did!

I will also post some more information about the fair itself and its history if I can, just to complete the story.

I'm hoping the author will post more videos in the future.  I've added their details at the end of the edits to acknowlege their ownership.  Sorry if I mislead anyone.  That was not my intention, and I hope you enjoy them all the same.

Next up 1988-89 Thumbs Up

@James - yes your right about Outrun as it was released in 86, so that's not what I heard, but you can definately see and hear it in video above :-)

Damn those arcade machines look so fresh and new LOL

Another superb video! Thanks for taking the time to do these videos. I posted the first one on Facebook, and have had some lovely chats with old schoolmates about the memories that it enabled!

Thanks Ben. There seems to be next to no footage of 80's arcades at all so it's great to see these, really does capture the atmosphere of the time

If I was to say "god, I miss the 80s" anywhere else, I would get beaten to death with THATCHER! UNEMPLOYMENT! etc. Thank god I can say it here and you'll know what I mean.

I miss the 80s!!!!

Hmmm...it IS a good game, but it needs more cowboys...
