I'm not sure the 14" monitors are available. The CRT link doesn't include them.

The midi has a 20" Polo in it, seem to recall Bensonrad saying the full upright had a 25" monitor.

They stopped production of the 14” many years ago. They said they still do the 29” - yeah, cheers for that...

And I just got an email saying a local customer had just bought all their stock of the 20/21" monitors... We snoozed and we losed!

They said the 29" are still in production (amazingly), and he's giving me details of someone in Italy who has a load of 17".

Bugger.

17” are pretty useless unless you have a red tent (and they’re actually 18”)

yeah, none of my cabs have a 17" monitor.

they didn't mention whether they still had the monster 38" trisync in stock. would love to try one of them with some retro consoles. but at 70+ kilos each theyre not very practical!

You could probably find a monster tv that size on eBay for next to nothing.

True, I've seen a few 33" crts come up locally, but nothing as big as 38"

Here are the details of the 29" (he said they supplied suzo-happ in the USA for years with these monitors, so hopefully would slot right into daytona etc):

Ø   29” CRT

l   Part no.: M3129DS-72

-29"  CGA / EGA / VGA MONITOR

-Price: US$275/PCS, EXW

-Spec. is attached.

-Lead time: In stock

-Packaging: 1pcs/CTN;  65*46*68cm, 41kgs

-by FEDEX IE to door: US$340/CTN (1pcs)

-by ocean to port of UK: 1~12pcs/pallet, US$ 300

l   Payment: T/T 100% in advance

l   Handling charge while amount under US$2,000: $35.0 per PI à if pay via Western Union, no handling will be charged.

They do also have some 20" medium res monitors in stock, so might be good for some of those atari cabs:

pics here:

Part no.: M520H-25K

Des. : 20" MONITOR M520H (Acrh type metal frame) (25KHZ)

50/60HZ, 110V à if for 220V, it needs to add “isolation transformer” (as below)

Spec. and photo: as attached

Price: US$102/PCS, EXW

Lead time: only 12pcs in stock (NEW, years stock, we will do burn in test for 2~3 days before ship)

And I'll follow up on the 17" to see if that leads anywhere else.

You could always chop it in half I suppose.
It's only original once.

That could be interesting, medium res monitors are even harder to find now than standard!

I noticed that on alibaba.com there are still a number of manufacturers making CRT tv's, and I did find one that still (apparently) sells a number of tube sizes for arcade machines. I was at one point wondering how much would be involved in shipping a bunch of tubes over and getting some of those "universal" chassis. One other problem would be frames but I suppose maybe they could be made in the UK by some metal fabrication firm?

As has already been said, I think 17" monitors are a bit useless, unless someone decided to do a scratch build to fit one. Make a good test bench monitor, I suppose.
