They've sent me a list of their remaining stock. Apparently a lot of people from Europe are asking (which might just be from this forum!)

Here's what they have left:

Well as said the medium res ones are definitely worth grabbing. The 29" pureflat ones are nice but shipping probably knocks them back a bit purely due to the weight (I know of one op locally who could be interested but probably not!) I'm a bit surprised that it says they're still in mass production!

Yes, it is rather (nice) surprise that someone in the world is mass-manufacturing CRTs! (well one type).

Shame there isn't any left of what's in the thread title. Have they suddenly all gone? (I got the impression they had some, otherwise why would they discuss prices/shipping? )

I need a 20" medium res monitor also. If there is a group shipment I'd like one please to keep the overall cost down for everyone.

the 29" ones I guess are still in production due to the amount of them still in use in Japan's arcades
maybe not for much longer though

There's probably some money to be made if you could invest in a shipping container's worth of them.

They told me that it was a local (to them) customer who just came and picked them up.

It seems like there's some interest here in what's left but maybe not enough for someone to take on the expense and risk.

I got in touch with the company that has the 17" monitors and they've got literally thousands! Shame they won't really fit in many cabs.

If the 17” were ridiculously cheap, we could start retro fitting cabarets and cocktails with slightly bigger monitors?

I don't know what the prices of these 17" ones are but maybe if a bulk load were bought then whatever company has them might consider a cheaper price for each?

Technical questions:

From this list it shows:

M520H is a 20 inch monitor but at 25Khz. Is that not too high frequency for use in video games? Thought we generally used 15Khz. Will these work for us? Would this need modifying to work in a classic arcade game? 12 available

M2621H is sold out.

M2919D is a 19" monitor with a useful frequency range. 14 available. This sounds like a great choice for old arcade games but is true 19" not too small - I thought Defender was 20". Will these work?

Thanks all,

Charlie

The 25khz is indeed medium res. The M2919D is 30-50khz which is basically just a VGA/SVGA monitor as far as I can see.
