UK Indie developer Bitmap Bureau will release a new title for the Mega Drive / Neo Geo AES and MVS systems this summer called Xeno Crisis. I am thinking about pre-ordering a copy to support development of new titles on retro arcade hardware.

Has anyone played it? I know the company has been demonstrating the game at a few local arcade events recently.

AFAIK, only the collectors edition is sold out. Still copies of the normal MVS cart available.

I'm actually surprised new games on older systems aren't more common.

I hope it takes off.

I like seeing the old systems still being supported. It's great to see new games being released, and rom files (or whatever the system used) are fine, but even better when it's supplied on proper physical media whether it's a disk, cartridge, tape or whatever!

Hi All,

I've been in contact with Mike from Bitmap and this seems like a really great initiative. I've just ordered the AES US/EU version too !

Should look great on my 1996 Sony CRT TV (via scart lead and running fullscreen at 60Hz...!)

Cheers

Aww i would love the MVS version, I know it's cheaper than the NG Dev Releases but just to rich for my blood. Either the MD or Dreamcast version for me I think.

I feel a bit bad for asking, but why is the MVS version two hundred quid?

edit: suppose it's priced right if it's selling out.

This was supposed to be at Revival last month but the makers 'forgot' they were booked in to come.

Looks cool - will definitely buy the MD ROM for my Everdrive at least.

Does it say what the differences are between versions?
