Are you buying original pcb only ?

Neo geo
STV
Gradius 2
FF
SF2 hyper
SFA3
SF33rd strike
Rastan 3
Night slashers
Naomi Hori stick games with jamma converter if 15khz standers res is your limitation .
Taito F3 elevator action 2 and Darius imparticular.

I would get a de10 nano mister fpga.

nope, no pcbs were bought in the making of this post

its for my pi2jamma setup
Pi 3 model b+ ? ( good for the classics & 90’s)
End of 90’s 2000’s get pi 4
Naomi - pi 5

Groovy mame pc better is a good way to go rather than pi4 etc

I think groovy arcade on Linux does away with crt emu drivers required simplifying the standerd res output through a vga out

Really i7 cpu is what you want ..

If you don’t want to do pc ..
Fpga mister with a jamma pcb like
JAMMIX
Irken labs mister jamma expanda
mister multi system 2 jamma
Mistercade
Antonio Villena
Or Jpac I’m told works too

Yes all specifically made for the jamma standerd .

If your going for classics pi2 jamma is ok
But then some games just start to suffer like killer Instinct / mortal kombat 2 ( I find pi4 is ok but pi 3b struggles a bit )

Cave shooters I have on pi 4 just don’t run good enough .
The games are to cpu heavy for the emulation .

Its odd as some old tech actually runs some stuff better than the new tech .

Take Juno first .
I don’t have an original pcb so I cannot comment on that .

But I do have it on pc / pi / mister core / and dos mame with pentium 2

And the later is king

I can only imagine it must be close to the pcb as it’s silky smooth and super responsive. Also it’s very noticeable in the sound. Mister cuts sound effects prematurely. And replicates the sound badly anyway .
Mister is the worst.

So it’s not all the latest tech emulates best .
