Hi guys
I was thinking if one of you guys could make me a jamma pass through adapter that goes inbetween my pana custom supergun and the game pcb to a db15 cable so i can use joypads on my games.
Below is a pic of the db15 pinout i need
All 6 buttons are needed on jamma harness btw. Also known as jamma plus

If you are not going to use the joysticks, isn't it easier to just buy a different supergun..?

Im sure theres someone that makes custom stuff here. Just don’t remember who.
It really isn’t that complicated. Just abit of soldering

JAMMA is three standard buttons with two additional positions at positions 25 & 26 for player 1 and positions c & d for player 2. You ain't going to get six buttons from a standard JAMMA set up and most games don't utilise the extra button positions in any case.

What are you using this for?

Im using for MVS games. Atomiswave. Pandoras box.
So 5 buttons for player 1 will do

Has to be 5 buttons max as Jon said. Its not that easy to solder this as the wire tends to be crappy and you have to buy it in certain lengths. The DB15 are inexpensive though. Are you supply all the stuff needed ? You would need :-

1 x DB15
1 x Length Cable
1 x 56 Pin Connector
1 x Fingerboard

Not going to be cheap I wouldn't say.

Anyone got a price?

The easiest option would be just to post the Pana loom to someone and neatly solder a DB15 connector/wires to the Pana fingerboard. I would do that for a £5+ charity donation.

Making a inline adapter (nicely) would be far more labour intensive but do-able. Including parts that would be more like a £30 donation.

Thinking about it I can probably do it a bit cheaper as it's a direct 'break out' adapter rather than needing to interupt the signals but you can pay what you want Wink

Pretty sure I have DB-15s and shell housings etc but I don't think I have any edge connectors/finger boards left. I'll get some ordered and be in touch.

No offense but I defo would not do it for less than £30 (Maybe just me though) ! You will need to Hot Glue the wires to the fingerboard as the cable is rubbish and will just snap off with movement.

Franco is very well versed at pricing and making cables that are better quality than factory originals, so sure he has it covered Thumbs Up

I had some 7/0.2 wire delivered today for the D-subs. I need to get into one of my garages to see if I have two row 15 pin D-subs and housings. I was going to look this afternoon but it's pretty torrential here at the moment.

I'm going to use one of Flinnsters fingerboards as it will make a nice neat adaptor. As soon as I have that and an edge connector I can get it made for you.

I'll shoot you a message shortly as I need to check with you about wire length and layout.

Finally done, phew!

Took 100x longer than expected in labour time (as usual!) but the biggest issue I have is that I'm living between two houses at the moment and half of my tools are at each and I had to take the adaptor with me a few times to get everything done. I think it's travelled a good 600+ miles so far LOL

Anywho:

I used the strain relief strap from a plug to stop the wires from getting pulled.

The Pana Custom has a batsh*t random pinout and the 1p inputs are on both sides of the connector = fun!

Will be in the post tomorrow Thumbs Up

I've got a few more random build pics which I'll post somewhere.
