Hi,

I may know a few of you guys from Jamma+. Anyway, I thought I'd say hello.

I'm based up in sunny Scotland (well it is today in Edinburgh) and love the nostalgia of the Arcade. I would love to become a collector... or at least own one cab or cocktail.

Look forward to chatting to you all in the future.

Si

Hi,

To be honest I am not really fussed. Although I would love to own a Space Invaders cocktail (or similar) or even Rolling Thunder cab.

What about yourself?

Thanks for the hello back!

Hi Si and welcome to ukvac. Word of warning - be careful, arcade cabs have a habit of multiplying really quickly once you get started. An SI cocktail will be easy to come by, Rolling Thunder might be a bit more tricky.

Cheers,

Dan

I remember most of a Rolling Thunder cab was on eBay a few months ago. Don't see many of them and it was sad to see this one was being stripped of parts so it could have extra buttons and a mame pc stuck in it and not offered whole.

I am a big TRON fan so one of those would be nice.

I am also a big Playchoice fan and I have 41 games so maybe one day I will own a Ninja Gaiden 3. :p

I am so you will get Space Invaders cocktail, need to watch eBay like a hawk!

ID, you must play it. Great game. It's a bit frustrating at times, but good and great music.

I vaguely remember it from the late 80's, it was either Butlins or Blackpool I got stuck into it

You thinking of the right game? Or maybe I'm not! Initial D came out in 2002

I think he was talking to IDCHAPPY, not about the game

. I have to admit I only ever played the Spectrum conversion of Rolling Thunder and recall it being pretty dire but given how popular it seems it could have been a duff port.

Welcome to ukvac Si and as Martin says, cabs have a way of multiplying :)
