Picked up a nice B&O MX4000 last night with a Beolink 1000 remote. After 45 mins I managed to tune my original xbox to one of the AV ports but options the remote provides seems quite limited. I wondered if the Beo 4 remote would a.) be compatible and b.)give me more options like moving the screen position etc. Anyone have any experience of them to help?

useful video by futurematt here

yes beo4 is the remote to go for with this - should pick one up off ebay for about £20

various options in the menus available but depends on the software revision of the TV (written on the label on the back eg SW 3.1)

You can use the Beolink 1000 remote, just takes a bit more work. Remove the back, find P700 (its above one of the AV ports), switch on TV, select TV and short P700 briefly (a screw driver works) and you will have access to all the service menus. Use up and down and left and right to select things. Picture Store Store to save all values. Shift Mute to reset.

Looking on the back mine is SW 2.0 Type 78/23 serial 1206135. Don't fancy removing the back of the TV I'd probably break it, kill myself or both. Be04 remote might be the way to go but my SW revision looks low.
