Anyone know/remember this 80's animated sci-fi?

Me and a few friends were chatting earlier and convo turned to old kids films/cartoons etc.

During this convo I remember this old animated sci-fi film that I think was mid to late 80s (but could of been early 90s) unfortunately I can not for the life of me remember what it was called and google has turned up nothing that jogs my memory.

So I was wondering if any of you may remember it????
I cant remember how good or bad it was but here is what I do remember:

It was a animated Sci-fi type film, Similar to Starchaser: Legend of Orin.
The bad guys were large humanoid type things with a distinguishing look, They were mostly black with very pale faces and HUGE black pointy hips.

Thats about all I can remember so not much to go on

Anyone else know what I have stuck in my mind now? LOL

Cant think of anything that matches that discription im afraid, but glad someone else remembers starchaser. Saw that in 3d back in the 80s.

I never got to see it in 3D, But I think it was one of the first 3D animated films if I remember right?

I watched it on VHS at home , Brings back cool memories of its own actually as when I was a kid we lived out in the middle of nowhere.
So back in the day there was a Guy called Jeff, Who was affectionately known as Jeff the video guy!

He had a old van full to the brim with VHS tapes and he used to drive around the local area and rent you a video for like £2.50 a week like a mobile blockbuster!

Fantastic service really and he would even d requests for the latest films if you asked him. Realisticly it was probably the only way me and many others in the area got to see some of the films we got to see as the nearest town was 20+ miles away.

The film I am trying to work out was another one of these films but nobody seems to of seen it or have any idea what I am talking about LOL.

Heh Ide forgotten about Centurions and visionaries.

But no, They were all series I think, The one in my mind was a film and much more gritty.

I was very young, just looked, was 1985 so i was only 7, but i remember the 3d really hurting my eyes and brain, with those funny red and blue glasses. It had an impact on me as i sought it out many years later, and the main villain scared the crap out of me as a kid lol

Could it have been an early manga release ?, there were loads of feature length animated sci fi stuff back in the early 80s...most of that was/is really dark...I have a vague recollection based on your description of the angles and appearance but I had an arcade at the top of the road at that time and it opened early...manga was never really my thing either
