Best CCleaner alternative?

Seems CCleaner is itself crap now, since being acquired by Avast a while back. What's now considered the best free (or cheap) disc and registry cleaner for Win 7?

It’s a pita but gives the best results

Just use an older version without the sold out nagware.

Defo don't want to do a fresh Windows install - too much of a ballache. Just want to clean the registry up before doing a fresh install of some software to see if it fixes an issue. I'll try an old version of CCleaner.
