Hi all,

Have ended up with two loads of crap bubblewrap ordering from Amazon.

I need something suitable for shipping fragile test gear, and the tiny bubble, low density stuff I've had turn up is crap. The Amazon ads made it seem like you could jump off a mountain wrapped in the stuff!

Has anyone got a known-good seller link? The Fulfilled By Amazon stuff seems to be random chance based on the reviews - some get good stuff, others get tiny bubble crap.

Known-good links would be much appreciated.

As you've found out, some cheap bubble wrap is crap and the bubbles don't hold the air.

It's worth spending an extra pound or two and getting some quality branded bubble wrap. I normally get Aircap bubble wrap from whoever's cheapest on ebay at the time.

For fragile stuff I wrap the item a few times in small bubble wrap and then pad it out by wrapping in large bubble wrap. I find wrapping items with the bubbles on the inside and keeping the wrap tight helps too.

A while back I got a huuumongous roll from B+Q. It was branded as greenhouse insulation and was £16. Wasn't micro-bubbles, just normal sized stuff. Seemed fine for packaging purposes.
