As our collections get larger and the contents older, I start to think about their preservation and am aware that a lot of people out there now offer capacitor replacements to keep them going.
I've currently got an Amiga 1200 that I'm thinking of getting done, its working still but no knowing if the process of degradation may have started already - does anyone have anyone they know who they can vouch for a good service as I'm overwhelmed by the number of people out there!!!!
I'm also looking to get my Mega CD MK1 done as the sound has gone very choppy recently but don't seem to find anyone doing this service
If my soldering skills were upto scratch i'd give it a go but i can only imagine how horrific it would end up - took me once 3 hours to solder 15 wires to a jamma connector and it looked awful and barely worked!
