Almost all of them to be honest. Loved the SNES/Megadrive and my Amiga growing up but there is probably only 4-5 games on each platform I could actually enjoy playing nowadays.

On the other hand, 2D arcade stuff has aged like fine wine.

Try modern homebrews on the 2600 - Thrust and Juno First for example are great. They're available at Atariage as full carts and free Eprom downloads.

Got a 7800 recently and was a bit underwhelmed, mainly by the sound chip being the same as a 2600.

Other than that my old consoles/computers tend to circulate in use. I guess the Dragon32 doesn't get much love, and i usually bring out the Atari ST over the Amiga.

However the PS4 probably gets used the least. :D

My Wii hasn't been turned on for at least two years. It just sits there sulking under the TV unit.

However my PC-Engine gets loads of use.

N64 doesnt float my boat anymore and i cant pinpoint why. I have it, plus some of the AAA games, but no desire to switch it on. I have a hankering to dust off the Master System this weekend though.

Because it had a few good Nintendo games, and a lot of sh*te, made worse by cart sizes.

Yeah, the N64 has not aged well at all in my opinion. Games I used to love on it like Goldeneye just don’t play well now. I think it’s the combo of counter intuitive controllers and early polygon graphics that look like crap.

Must admit my N64 lost my love somewhat, I got it out toward the end of last year, in my annual do I or don't I try and clear out some of my loft and stop hoarding things away. I played on Goldeneye and for the first time found it boring, just far used to playing on xbox versions these day of run around shooters. I kept half my collection, mainly the puzzle type games and Mario Kart 64, but the other half which was mainly the AAA games all went to ebay and paid for Christmas, I suspect at next Novembers yearly airing I'll be moving the rest of it on.

I got the Snes out last weekend though and really enjoyed playing on that, that will never go, nor will my Gameboy stuff.

great reading all the replys.. I sometimes get a game in my head that i used to play and when i try it now its just totallly different i cant explain it ??
I remember the ps1 came out and i was playing fifa and my neighbours next door came round and thought it was an actual live match... It looked real at the time but now i think how?
i still get modern consoles and the odd game i will play for a while but other times i load the console up then switch it back off.. i do that quite alot tbh
When i was a kid i played every game no matter what it was and enjoyed it

Did anyone ever think as a kid in games like double dragon theres gotta be a way to drive the car in the garage??stegrey2019-01-29 22:53:38

We had a Binatone console.

The one and only console we had. Paddles and light gun, pretty cool!

I see my kids with NES,SNES, N64 controllers- seems natural to them.

Not sure what the awful console I played at my grandparents’ was. Those games were awfully basic and unforgiving. Wish that it hadn’t gone to someone else.

Still play megadrive and gameboy games to the derision of friends. I love the NGPC. Really miss the Dreamcast, should try find some roms and see how emulation through retroarch looks.
