Hi, where did you order from and what was the order value?

I only ask as you can then roughly work out the charges and also so we know from what company we are likley to get caught by customs from.

That's a bummer as I was going to order from them.
I guess charges are usually 20% plus £8 Royal Mail so around £30.

How long from ordering to getting the email?

Just hope they haven't put a postage figure on. I paid $300 all in for some starwars artwork on the declaration they put $300 for the artwork plus $50 for shipping so I paid tax on the non-exisitent shipping costs.

Glad it wasn't too high.
Sounds like %20

I think you might also get a £8 Royal Mail handling charge ontop.

Can you keep us updated?
Maybe I will get my order into arcadeshop now.

Hi Steve parcel arrived today, well packaged and there were no other charges.
The parts were pretty quick, it was parcelforce who caused a delay.

Let us know how you get on with your order Steve

Yeah, parcelforce are a bit slow with customs handling, bloody cheek when you consider they charge £13.50 for the priviledge. Fedex are better in this respect, they get the stuff to you quicker, then hit you with the customs charge later on.

Indeed, this sucks.
I paid out over £45 for a small circuit board, as they put a high value on it...sigh :-(
If it is over £15 on the value, you will get customs charges.

There is however a new scheme (well seems new to me), whereby taxes are pre-paid (so they should be fixed and a lot less!). Still waiting (only order less than a week ago), and will reply back to this thread when it arrives....

in my experience pre-pay is cheaper but everything disappears into a US customs black hole for about 10 days before being shipped over here.
