Damp between wooden flooring?

I have a shed/workshop and I wish to reinforce the existing floor (which is T&G 11mm shiplap) which sits on wooden bearers.

I intend laying on top of the existing floor some 18mm moisture resistant chipboard. I may also insulate with some polystyrene.

Question is, I assume there a chance that damp will accumulate between the two floors, and if so is there any way to help prevent this?

Thanks

Dan

I would personally lay polystyrene underlay sheeting over existing floor then lay the new floor on top. If possible raise the bearers so they are supported on blocks and not directly on the ground plus sandwich a damp proof membrane between the support blocks and the bearers. This will stop rising damp. Also make sure you provide ventilation to the shed.
