On another note, I know you can fit a composite out on to a 2600... Ive already broke one Atari trying to do that...

Is there a coax - composite connector that you can just plug the leads into.

If I plug the coax from my Atari direct into my HDTV it just has a spaz attach and try's to tone into digital TV.

Also if there is an 'inline' adapter I could hook it up to my EasyCap on my PC easily....

Is this a pipe dream or am I just thick and it does exist and everyone already has one??

Following this thread with interest because I too have recently started collecting Atari sh*te stuff, and also will probably be playing my console on a HDTV.

eBay has actually been the source of quite a few bargains, I'll probably be starting a 'VCS carts for trade' thread soon as I've quite a few 'doubles' already.

I would really recommend just getting a 15/17" portable CRT tv. These machines were never designed to run on LCD or large screens so some of the magic (and I use that term loosely) is lost. I've got a nice Hitachi which it tunes into a treat, giving me the picture as it was originally intended (warts and all)

Like many people my

Two of my favourite things, my boxed Atari and my vintage Vox amp.... should probably take the box of Mega Drive stuff off the top of it though...

Top man, can't fault your taste in amps! Which model AC30 is it? I used to have an 80's valve model with tremolo, wouldn't distort for love nor money so I sold it. I'm looking for another earlier one now.

I do prefer playing on old TV's, especially on games like Berzerk.

I find playing 'stretched' games very annoying.....

My main reason for trying to find an adapter of some sort is so I can hook up a direct signal to my PC for recording.

I have aspirations of World Records
