Daytona USA (general SEGA) parts query

Hey guys

I am in the process of restoring a DaytonaUSA cabinet. I was fortunate to pick one up from a forum member for spares and repairs. After much messing about I have decided to go down the emulation route as much was missing and/or faulty, so I will restore the cabinet as best I can cosmetically. I have a working setup based upon the Universal FFB board and PWM2M2 controller. This replaces the old internals along with a PC for emulation, but uses the original buttons, pedals and steering, motor and clutch. Reusing as much as I could! Including the original mains filter and step down transformer.

Luckily for me I had a spare steering unit complete with motors and clutch as the one in the cabinet was incredibly noisy (very loud rattling noise when in use, not normal). It does work, but it rattles constantly. So I am good for now but it made me think about servicing the parts so I have reliable replacements. Has anyone repaired the Sega motor and or clutches in the past and if so, do you have any information or places to buy service items such as bearings and the like?

Alternatively any good working spares you have available, that’s next best option I think.

Just thought I would ask. For anyone interested I will post photos and things of the build as others may benefit from my work; however it’s probably been done a million times before!!:)

Thanks

Danny
