I thought I would join in the fun and post some mixes which I've done for anyone that is interested. I mainly do these to listen to in my car, but thought I'd share them.

This is the latest one:

and a rave one, to bring back some nostalgia of 1992

The rest of my public playlist is here:

These are all live so they are not perfect. Let me know what you think

Nice one Ben, that rave mix certainly kept me entertained whilst watching Man City get taught a lesson by Bayern.

You've inspired me now - I really need to get my car stereo sorted out so I can listen to some of my old mixes I've got on MP3 on the way to work

live or not they should be perfect or near as damn it!

+1 in fact live mixing is always better as the adrenaline is rushing.

currently listening to your 'rave' mix. Fantastic choice of songs. You do seem to be more focused on blending, I would suggest working on your impact mixing especially your drops. Keep at it - there is NOTHING more satisfying than when you drop a choon and the crowd jumps up on the floor cheering.

EDIT: nice to see people still using 12's - i refuse to use anything else.

Cheers. I do think that is a fair comment. I'm very much used to mixing soulful house which involves a lot of blending, rather than any drops

yea - soulful house is much more blending orientated, but stilll some choons that benefit from a good drop.

I am a bit of a drop whore, so I might be biased. Every time I hit a drop perfectly it gives me a rush that takes me back to Jungle/DnB DJing days.

I aint bothered,if it sounds good enjoy it.but mixing and the way you do it is what seperates the GOOD djs from the plain boring heard it all before ones.

And I use cd decks as I am both tight and skingy so downs my tunes from youtube etc.

But yep I learned on a crappy pair of decks with crap pitch control and belts and never owned 1210s although I have spun many along the way.

I am definitely a vinyl man, you can look at a record while it is spinnning and completely read it.

In a very different position to you, I haven't really bought (or downloaded) music since about 97-98 apart from a few job lots off of ebay. And before then a lot of the records were given to me by promotion/pressing companies (which means I have a load of crap as well as a few bits of really good stuff) and a couple of my friends also owned record shops/mail order records specialising in DnB/Jungle so even the ones I had to pay for were cheap.

The rave mix is very nice. Still enjoy listening to the old early 90's stuff.....bit weird listening to it without dilated pupils mind you
