I've generally not been a fan of Nintendo, especially the nes/Famicom, but recently I've ended up owning a few carts (Ide Yosuke Jissen Mahjong, Mappy, Mappy Land, Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti, Kid Dracula and Gradius II) thought I'd at least try them out seeing as how I had them instead of leaving them in the back of a box... and my mind is blown with how good they are.

I ended grabbing a Super 8Bit Nes and a NESRGB mod, picture now looks amazing on the games, however getting some occasional horizontal tear on it, not to sure if anyone have any pointers or advice on how to fix? Although I may know the answer myself... Don't buy mods off of AliExpress?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations of other games I'd really appreciate it, playing these have made me realise I've ignored an entire console just because the games my friends raved about weren't my thing.

NES RGB looks amazing on a real Famicom, not sure what a super 8bit nes is based on, does it have a real CPU and PPU chip?

Japanese version of Castlevania 3 (better sound than the western version)

The super 8bit nes that i got came with real PAL chips, but i've taken them out and put in a Japanese CPU and PPU chips.
With the picture, it looks like it's just my cable was crappy, dug out an old svideo cable this morning and tried that and now the picture is perfect *chefs kiss*

I really want to like Super Mario 3, it looks so nice, but it's one of those games that originally put me off of the nes/famicom (along with zelda) perhaps i should take another look, it's been far too many years since i last gave it a go.

Gimmick looks great, will give it a go... but yeah, those prices, might need to look at getting a multigame cart.
