ebay down?

ebay doesn't seem to be working for me, right when I need to do a deal with a buyer. Main page won't even load. Anyone else getting this?

Yeah, sorry chaps, seems it's a problem on my end as it's working OK on my other PC. Must be a cookie issue, or something. Kicked in just at the wrong time, as usual!

It could be a problem with the Firefox browser.
I just installed and tried Chrome, and it seems fine.

Think it's just a cookie fubar, as I'm on Chrome. I deleted all ebay cookies and it seems OK now, except I seem to have wiped my entire purchase history.

I assumed that info was stored server-side.

Can you log into a UK account from there? Anyway, seems the problems people are having are being caused by browser ad blockers. ebay's usual 'we don't give a f**k' policy, this time seemly breaking things suddenly for people using blockers.

Why are eBay even carrying adverts when they are making millions from their fees anyway?

Sadly, I think eBay have lost their way. I genuinely can’t remember when I last sold an item on their website. Even my kids use other platforms to sell their stuff.

Ebay are trying hard now to be amazon listing thousands of cheap chineese items in every catagory
Face book marketplace is taking over the old e bay model of sell your old junk
Scumtree is where all the shady knockoff stuff goes on

They all get greedy eventually pushing up fees and ads
Once they get popular

Been many times that UK sites been down and i've gone looking for stuff that ends soon in the UK site as no other forker in the UK can bid

My only gripe with Ebay is WTF with the 10% fee they take from your postage cost

so I have to bump postage up to pay those greedy f@ckers even more ££. I only list high value items now when theres £1 max selling fee. Stuff just sits here till they do!
