Hi all, GM 0.270 patch isn't available yet but I just wanted to let those of you who I know regularly update your machines with my build every month that this is going to be my last one.

There's no other reasons for it than it's just nice to end on a round number and that truthfully it serves no purpose for me other than fulfilling my need to be always up to date. There are many other things I have to be up to date with these days so I have to let some drop.

If anyone wants to know how to build your own exe, where to go to get files, etc, just shoot me a PM and I'll put together a how to.

I'll post 0.270 when it's done, hopefully in the next few days.

Adios.

Thank you for all the updates you have provided.....We were supposed to do the tuition session ages ago but for some reason it never happened....still needing to learn though.

Downloaded ready.

I am not sure if I have any real requirement now for later versions......
Where I get my monthly updates from (Usenet), the guy who posts them also posts an "arcade only" version of regular Mame. Whilst this is not Groovymame, I can use this as the exe for CLRMamePro, and use this to keep my roms folder in check, ie only the arcade roms.
The cabs I have with Groovymame on (both mine and my mates), I think can just stick the regular full version of Groovymame release on there, and the front end will only show games for which there are roms for. This means that all the console junk in there just isn't seen, and the only difference I think really is the size of the Groovymame executable. In other words no big deal.

Does that make sense ? If I were to proceed like this, would it be any different ?

It's certainly a workable way around it. Since the only ROMs you have are arcade only and the full version of GM will keep you supporting new updates that's you pretty much covers. Just the issue of the suppression patch really. However if you, like me only play a handful of games, once you've dealt with the nag screen once, you're not going to see it again.
