I don't have a problem with Joel... I have bought a few things from him in the past and all have gone fine.

But the content of this thread I have seen over and over again over the last few years and it doesn't ever seem to change... there should be rules about this to stop people being able to trade on the forum... something like a couple of strikes and you're out.

I'd always got on fine with him which is why I gave him every opportunity to do the right things before making it public. The last thing I want is a witch hunt.

He's obviously got his reasons for deciding to take money and not supply the goods - it would just be nice to get some sort of dialogue going to try and find a solution. I'd like to help if possible, but burying your head in the sand is just not the way to go about it.

If anyone else has any outstanding deals with him, please post here or send a pm (doesn't have to be details). As far as I know it's only me with the issue which is good in that at least it's not a big problem within the community.

He'll probably reappear, I had the same thing last year, he held my money for 5 months before saying he couldn't find the board and refunding me, not that it in any way justifies his actions here.

When things like this happen its normally due to a personal breakdown of some description,

Well, thought I should follow up on this as after 16 months of waiting, sending messages, waiting and sending more messages I finally got my stuff.. plus a few added extras I wasn't expecting!!

After eventually getting a response via whatsapp I was at least able to get into a conversation about the issue with Joel and, to be fair, he was true to his word in the end (I feared he'd sold the stuff to someone else and was just stalling until I got bored of waiting!).

So, anyway I'm all sorted - hope everyone else has that's been waiting has been as lucky as I don't think we'll see him back in the scene again anytime soon.

Thanks to Alpha1 and stegrey for sending me Joel's phone/whatsapp details, without which I'm sure I'd have been forever waiting!
