Just a quick intro, quite new to the arcade games hobby, though they always fascinated me, but it wasn't as big of a thing here in Norway I guess as it was/is in the U.K, also lived in countryside didn't add to the possibility of big arcades as growing up :)

Have a few cabs (general cabs) I'm restoring, and a few boards already, some working and some not.

Huge fan of CRT monitors so trying to keep those up and running as well :)

Did you Import the cabinets or was there a company manufacturing jamma cabinets in Norway ?
Unfortunately never been to the North of Norway but have a friend in Oslo.

Bought them in norway, one localy and one from eastern part (near oslo, I think that might be an import cab from Sweden, as I think it's a swedish brand), the one bought locally I presume is a french import from back in the day, called "Rene Pierre" (image from the sale add) - in process of a rebuild

I think there was a maker (if not more than one) which was quite big in it's day called "Lars Berg", think they also made arcade cabs, but also coin machines etc

Välkommen Norge!
Another scandinavian Arcade enthusiast, asesome!
I know some others in Norway (mostly Oslo) that is in the scene aswell! And I have been to the Tilt Arcade twice, great place by scandinavian Arcade standard atleast (not comparable with AC in UK).

Some cabinets were built in Sweden but most scandinavian cabinets are from JK Automater in Denmark.

Welcome … lots of interesting reading here for those long dark winter nights ? I have sent a few vintage cabinet parts to Norway in the past so you are not on your own up there !

I would think so, there comes arcades up for sale now and then but not a massive amount, and parts mostly have to get from overseas somewhere it seems :)

Welcome. I'm also new to here. Good to hear you're a fan of CRT. Yes the arcades in the UK were magical special places growing up. Also in the 80s and early 90s you'd see an arcade machine in a chip shop, cab office, video rental etc. Wonderful.
