Hi guys.

I purchased this lordsvale and I’ve powered it on. Getting a hissing from the unit. Any advice or help much appreciated.

Feel a bit gutted as it cost quite a bit. I can’t attach the video from my phone here because the ext is not allowed.

Back door off in a nice dry room and gently heat around the monitor with a hairdryer.
I usually do that with every cab that arrives, just give it a day or so with the doors open so it can aclimatise.

I don’t think it’s fair to name them. It could have happened at any point. I’ll take it on the chin and just get it sorted. Need to find a tube replacement.

Was the monitor secured? Normally a necked monitor when transporting the game means the monitor wasn't securely bolted into the cabinet.

Take a picture of the inside of the cabinet so we can see the monitor. Maybe someone has a tube or complete monitor that can help.

Here’s the video. The chassis does swing a bit. So it’s likely it swung back against the cab wall and broke.

If anyone has a tube that matches the following, that’d be much appreciated. Currently the supplier is helping me source another, but I’m trying to find one with as little burn in as possible.

So I’ve opened up the front. The crt is held by 2 screws at the top and there’s no bottom mount. There is a wooden rail in the cab it should sit in and it’s swinging freely from that. So at some point must have slipped out.

Unfortunately I’m the one left stuck. It’s pretty annoying. Onwards and upwards.

So the neck was able to hit the back door and break? Is that what has happened?

If that wasn't possible the only other thing it could be as I can't see the actual damage from your video is it was turned on in very cold temperatures and the tube went.

I suspect movement caused the crt to move/swing. I can push it lightly with one finger and it hits the cabinet panel. Here’s a close up.

Just the inertia of a cab being thumped down can snap the neck, i've seen it happen twice and now I'm paranoid and remove the neck board to reduce the mass hanging off the end of the neck. I do this on every game I send and ask it to be done on every game I receive. I don't understand how your neck was able to touch the back of the cab with that metal frame protecting it? I wonder if this was what happened to yours, maybe it fell on its side which would've given it enough force to break the neck 🤷🏻‍♂️ Who knows. Anyway hope you find a replacement soon, good luck.
