I didn’t see this thread at first. I recognise many of you here. I was a big MVS hoarder back in the 2000’s, but under a different username.

I haven’t had the space for a cab for a long time now, but I’ve just bought a new house and have decided to turn one of the bedrooms into a space for me. I figured that I’d get back into the hobby and see where it takes me. I’m currently rocking a TAITO Egret II Mini, which I’ve hacked so I can play Hyper Fighting on it. Now I want a proper one.

Thanks fellas. It’s not a large room by any means. The smallest of the bedrooms, but it will suit me fine. At one end I’ll have a Secretlab MAGNUS Pro XL with my PS5 Pro and computers on a dual SONY INZONE M10S setup. Fortunately the entire house has been wired for Ethernet, so I’ll also have a fast connection in there.

If turn around, I could fit three cabs next to each other along the rear wall. My plan is to get two Egret II and have one for hori and one for vert. With only two cabs, I’ll have a little storage area for PCB’s and room for a bookshelf to keep trinkets on. I was going to go with more modern cabs, specifically a pair of NAMCO Noir, but from my understanding, JAMMA doesn’t look too great on those.

I’ve been planning it for a while now, and I’m having a thumb-print door handle fitted so that the kids can’t get in there and mess with my stuff. I’ll be able to escape to there when the Mrs. is watching Love Island or whatever happens to be on the television at the time.
