Just a thought from my build . If you just use spectaculator as the gui on a USB drive as I do, then you can use pokes , mods ect easily. Only saying as those computer based units were mainly played on keyboard. ( yes kempstone joysticks ect were used i know before the croud jumps in ) I've tried the launchbox front end but ended going back to the spectaculator gui .
I’ll update with more detail at some point but I setup anew install on a test laptop and installed the latest version of hyperspin and hyper launch followed Austin on YouTube. Found the Dragon 33 emu and rroms and got it all working it’s just the art packages I’m missing also did the same for the Amiga.
could always try arcade punks - they have loads of different images all set up, you could always grab a suitable one and take the sets you want from it..
