Hi, welcome to UKVAC, what did you buy? Is it all working ok?

It was sold as a NEO GEO cab and its got a 1 slot MVS board in there which is reporting a fault.
I have zero experience with electronics.
The one question i did want answering was if it is an original NEO GEO cab? It looks kind of right but it has the wiff of generic pub jamma cab to it.
Im almost certain it isnt a NEO GEO but it is a nice solid Jamma cab.

The board that is in the cabinet is posting a ZX80 error but i did manage to get a garbled picture from one of the carts but only once.
Now the pcb is thick with dust and i dont know the best way to clean it, its going to need a bit more than compressed air to shift it. Any ideas?.

You can get pretty vigorous cleaning PCBs without causing damage (remove all socketed chips, wash in sink and rinse, rinse, RINSE then dab dry and leave somewhere like an airing cupboard till it's definitely dry) but given the fault message you've got it may not be worth doing.
I'd suggest opening a thread in Tech forum and including some pictures of the fault and if possible the garbled game screen. Also power up the cab without a cartridge inserted and see if you get the cross-hatch screen. There are a number of fixable causes (as well as unfixable ones unfortunately
) so it may be possible to get it working again.
But you're much better off posting a specific topic in the Tech section as you'll get more people reading it, so more chances of getting help.
