Welcome to UKVAC stu !!! I built my own MAME machine back in 2005 or something, I love it and play it still today although its not everyone's cup of tea as there ae a few ' Purists ' on here :) . One of your better options is to find an empty original project cab with or without a monitor and build your system inside.

Lots of people on here will help , I am just about to start a restore / conversion of a driving cab that will be a MAME multi driving cab.

That was the plan with this one until it worked! I've also got a bartop shell in looking at putting together... Got all the controls, zero delay boards and an old i3 PC so that's probably the way I'll go. Maybe get the Jamma surged and put that in the bartop!

Welcome along

loads of nice scratch built cabs around, although have to say its probably easier and cheaper to start with an empty shell.
