We at Timewarp had this machine in the back for ages and part of the 'sale' at Play Leisure we managed to get some bits for our machine including a 'broken' boardset which was living in it's case.
So, I am aware of the suciide battery on the chip under the network board, it may or maynot be working.

So I applied power to it on the bench and then plugged in a GBS monitor so I can see the output..... nothing .. but ERR 88 on the LED display.

So then I thought maybe not enough power or something like that as it was thirsty, so I took it put it in the Game cabinet which has been stood at Timewarp for nearly a decade. It's gotta be somethig similple right?

SO I checked the power on the cabinet to see if it was safe and then proceeded to wire the game boards into the game which is mostly straight forward. We had a horizontal line (so the monitor needs work) but the game just flashed the Err 888

Now I would expect the game to boot and then give garbage on the screen if the Timekeeper was bad, what do you think? I got nothing as I am expecting it to boot like other Konami games like Silent Scope (which I noticed some versions are on similar hardware)

Here is a video, all comments welcome.... boards would be considered
