[ukvac] Mame Quality (was: Can you remember the first arcade video you played?)

Lets just explain that a little, just in case!...
It's not really the fault of mame, more the fault of the video hardware.
PC video hardware is by definition, such good quality that when
displayed on most modern screens - pc monitors inparticular - they
display at the wrong resolution and in such good quality that you can
see every (by this time)large pixel.
Put the game (emulated or otherwise) through the monitor it was intended
to run on, and therefore at the resolution it was intended to run at,
and bingo, mame doesn't make the games look so bad afterall - in fact
they look pretty close to the original if not spot on.
Wrong orientation sometimes, but there are utilites you can use (or is
it ports of mame? Cant remember) that correct this too. Seen it done,
doesn't look arf bad - cheating sacriledge obviously, but not arf bad
all the same.
