[ukvac] MTC9000 poor brightness...
Anyone know where to look on this? It's basically an MTC9000 that is
working (new lopt fitted) but cranked right up on full screen voltage
it's still VERY dark. The tube is known to be good since i just put
this one to one side and used the tube on a second one i just fixed so
it wasn't that.
B+ is good. 26v at video amplifier input is down at about 19v. Manual
says to check that it's 26v but doesn't suggest anything for if it's
not (it's not that kind of manual).
From what i remember i replaced most of the caps the last time i
looked at it, although i could be wrong on that since they've been
under my pin tables for nearly two and a half years now. Some of the
caps look pretty new considering they were in the garage during it's
conversion (with all the dust) which i think backs this up?
Just trying to decide if it's worth replacing the half dozen parts i
ended up pinching off it to fix the second one or whether to keep it
as a scrapper for spares
