My Love Of Silent Hill

Always been a fan since 1999 and the first psx title.

Played it almost instantly when it came out and prefered it to Resident Evil as at the time as it was more chilling!

Res evil was fun, Silent Hill was dark side!!

Anyway, wanted all of these for a while...

Silent hill 1 psx pal version

Silent hill 1 psx ntsc version...some stuff was edited out of the pal version (We have the worst region don't we?!)

Silent hill collection ps2 (This is silent hill 2, 3 and 4 in one case all pal ps2 versions)

Silent hill 2 directors cut pal (For the extra "Maria" disc which is a short prelude game)

Silent hill origins ps2 pal

Silent hill shattered memories ps2 pal (This was hard to find in true ps2 uk pal format)

It was out for psp but just main versions for me

Silent hill homecoming ps3 pal

Silent hill downpour ps3 pal

And Silent hill HD collection ps3 pal....which are HD remakes of silent hill 2 and 3 only

Can't be arsed with the gba jap text only side game/spin off (Not the real series)

And can't be arsed with the vita book of memories as it's another spin off

Also don't want all the other language versions...this will do.

As you can see all the books/guides are there so finishing them all won't be an arse

Not finished all of them yet...can't wait to do them all.

I really enjoyed finishing downpour recently.

I know some of the games are sh*t but I have a soft spot for the series...

Also own the 2 movies...Silent Hill and Silent Hill Revelations which are ok, fun if you like the games.

Also got res evil 1, 2 and 3 psx and directors cut all originals and with the guides.

Not to bothered about the rest...I have remake of res 1

and res 4 and zero for the gamecude...

But the first ones are the best!!

Who else is a Silent Hill or survival horror fan?

Yeah, played it recently...shame all modern games follow the pattern of:

No matter your level of skill and how fast you shoot you will still get hit so you have to credit feed it
Not possible on one credit type of thing

Still would be fun to have it in your own home arcade
Plays ok

I am a big Silent Hill fan as well...

I have only played (and completed) Silent Hill 1 (PSX) Silent Hill 2 (PS2) and Silent Hill 3 (PS2)

I do have Downpour and Homecoming on the PS3 but not yet played them

I didn't get to play Origins or Shattered Memories as by the time these came out i'd more or less 'retired' my PS2

I did have a 'little go' at Silent Hill 4 The Room but i'm not keen on '1st person' games (I found out afterwards that it does go into a 3rd person style the furthur you get into the game though)

I'm also big Resident Evil fan as well

I keep telling myself to put some hours in on the PS3 but I just seem to have 'lost' my gaming head for some reason (I play for about an hour then I get wrestless an wanna do something else

)

I remember playing the PSX and PS2 for hours on end but I kinda lost it when I got my PS3

I'm also a big Syphon Filter fan as well

I love the old survival horror genre as well, kinda died badly in the last few years though. Resi evil revelations was a good blast on the 3DS though
