Had stats today passed to me for internet usage in the office, can you guess what the most visited / used site was on my computer at work!!

........same site I am on right now!! Ukvac

Going to have ease up my use to lunch breaks only, otherwise I'll have to give myself a discplinary.

Had no idea I was clocking up so much time, I guess all those quick 2 or 3 mins looks add up over a day, then a week, then a month.

I have to be careful when Windows update decides it's going to hammer me for several hundred meg of updates in one go. Last year I had IT pop up on a Lync session and ask what i was downloading. At first I panic'd, then realised it was Windows Update. Problem was, I forgot I had my VPN connected.

God knows why that would slow them down badly enough to get on the phone - didn't think it was that bad but there we are

Gudd, configure a split tunnel vpn, all work related stuff goes over vpn. Internet, downloads goes over your normal connection.

Print 1 huge PDV doc, hide smartphone within mass of paperwork and "review" the doc/internet at your leisure. Ninja!

Just stick logmein client on your home PC and remote to it

I use logmein to access work when I am at home, it would look odd for me to be on that site when I am actually here and probably wave more red flags. haha. I'll shoe horn in 5mins before start and then some at lunch.
