Hi all,

So obviously I have changed jobs if you have seen my
other posts and there is a good chance I will be changing my car as I
have broker this one lol

So I'm looking at around 2010-2012 reg
and I went to measure up round the local garages that I could be arsed
to go to... basically I want a car to fit in a pinball/cab so I measured
one of my pinballs and also measured the height of my car to compare
(my 307 estate has about 90cm) So after looking round a few cars with my
tape measure, in each place I had to ask for help as none matched.
Basically each one pointed me to a 7 seater and all had the seats in the
boot fold flat (Joey is you are reading I have no clue wtf you call
bits of cars in USA speak lol) anyway all three above are cab/pin
friendly I think and for the age I'm looking at price is pretty similar.
Below is some pics quickly grabbed off google... Think they are the
correct style... All will be 1.6ish diesel and £30 road tax. What would
you choose and why.... :)

Ford C

Basically
all cars are very similar (well will fit arcade stuff in lol) so what
would you go for? Also any suggestions are welcome but please no 4x4
things or stupid expensive cars as we all know a rolls can't take a cab
lol... Again I will be doing a few miles sp 1.6 diesel with £30 road tax
sounds good to me lol

- Ben

P.S. I don't seem to be able to do a poll here so vote will be underneath!

Hi Ben,

Based on family and friends experiences. Here is my vote.

Topping the charts at number 1, the VW.
Second place to Mr Ford.
Which leaves Vauxhall languishing in last place.

Good luck.

This. The Vauxhall is still a good car (I've had many in the past), but I've driven modern Fords and VWs quite recently, and they drive that little bit better.

Have to disagree the 1.9 16v cdti is a flying machine compared to most other diesels and returns 50+ mpg all other diesels seem lame to me, and better still the newer 2.0 cdti are 165 bhp we have the astra 2.0 cdti as well as the Vectra estate great cars imho

VW if you want to retain the most value on selling, most of the VW rep is built on the old Beetle, I've known quite a few mechanics have a dislike for them.

Vauxhall if you want a car that is easy to work on and get cheaper replacement parts.

Ford, well they always do something to the cars to deter me from them, normally an ugly dash or suchlike, also they used to have a habit of welding rather than bolting things like wings, so a pain to repair at times.
