You'll probably find it boring but these are pretty cool for the age of the car and what a nightmare its been to sort them out. been working on them on/off for about a year and they cost me a fortune, hard to get JDM parts command some good money
Drivers one was okay working, passenger one was completely seized up so I started stripping the faulty one down, couldn't get the seized area apart though, no idea if it was possible, all the paint gone as they should be black inside
There not just electric adjusting mirrors. Took me ages to get them apart as screws don't want to come out, having to leave wd40 (keep meaning to get some proper plusgas)
soaking in so put them to one side again, come back to them weeks or months later. some of the screws snapped off so had to drill them out, one being the motor unit to get it apart
had to take the pins out connectors to get the cable out too

It was this part with the spring that was solid, never found a way to get that out as I wanted to sandblast the metal, left that whole end soaking in WD40 for probably 2 months and keep trying to work it loose, in the end I had to heat it up a little and finally got it moving but its one of the worst things i've had to fix, under the gear is nylon which melted a little. above the gear are ball bearings which the spring presses against to hold in position, copper tracks on the top i managed to polish up

Got the drivers side one done and back together but then i was looking for some of the parts for the passenger side, i did put them in a box each with all the parts, screws etc but i couldn't find the rubber seal for the motor, this is why it takes me so long lol, so i needed to take this spare broken one apart to get, bolt in bottom didn't wanna come out so soaking that again for a few weeks

What I needed was this bit of rubber in bottom of housing, another screw snapped off to get this off

It was all ready to go back together for months, had to make covers to slide ever the spring part while I sandblasted the metal and painted them

So the drivers side was all finished and then I found the missing rubber seal for this one but WTAF,
I thought this can't be it then, it doesn't fit. it has to be the one though as where is another bit of rubber going to come from when i've taken nothing apart like it, I was really baffled with this, how does it grow in size then I thought I seem to remember i didn't know it was rubber at first when I was trying to free it and think I pulled it out later on, maybe the wd40 got into it and changed it
