[ukvac] OT: C&VG blast from the past
I know a few(!!) on this list are old enough to remember
C&VG coming out all those years ago.
I just found this http://www.64apocalypse.com/images/cvg/mag1.htm
scanned version of issue one, amusing to skim through a lot of
companys advertising chips at prices not that much different
from today. Also an advert for maplin touting the Atari
range from their 2 shops!!

Have fun
Lee

Re: [ukvac] OT: C&VG blast from the past
Cool..:)

I'm STILL looking for scans copies originals (!) of the fantastic 'Bug
hunters' comic strip that ran in the back of C&VG all those years ago. It
was some of the best artwork I've ever seen. At the risk of starting an OT
thread, anyone help?

Phil.

I want to get a copy of the C&VG issues that published the games I wrote!

one even made the cover with politicians all over the show (the game was
called 'election')

I still have the acceptance postcard somewhere, wonder what they are worth
now (maybe as much as 50p!)

I rember getting a tenner for sending in a cheat
to c&vg and it came with a proper wage slip
(if anyone has the issue I think it had some
superhero on the cover eithe the Hulk or Spiderman)

How much killing would you do ?!

I have stacks of old mags, sometimes I sell them on ebay - amazingly people
buy them too :) Most are literally mint. I have PCW, Practical computing,
Byte, Everyday electronics, ETI, practical electronics, and loads more
variously from 1974 through 1985 or so, pluse stacks or car mags from
85-todate.

If someones got a specific request - email me off list. And no I dont have
them all catalogue with pics . .
