[ukvac] OT: Cocktail cabinet project
I need to either build or convert a UK style cocktail cabinet and stick
a PC in it for a multi media project (no that doesn't mean mame). The
problem is it needs to be one designed for a trackball. Where there
ever generic cocktail tables with cocktail controls made? or were
cocktail cabinets with trackballs always dedicated game, eg. missile
command, etc. I obviously don't want to convert a dedicated cabinet so
if that is the case I can rule out option 1 below. I think my option are
something like :
1. Buy a generic cocktail cabinet designed for trackball.
2. Buy a joystick based cocktail cabinet and some how convert it to use
a trackball.
3. Build a cabinet from scratch.
So, does anyone know of any plans to build a UK style cocktail table or
one for sale. I've searched arcade controls for plans but they all seem
to be of the american style cabinet. Or has anyone on the list done
anything like this before?
Thanks for reading, sorry for the OT post. Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan
