Just in case anyone is in any doubt, Hyde park has to be one of THE
worst concert venues i've ever been to. Saw Bon Jovi there this
summer (umm, last summer!) and thankfully the concert made up for
it, but being completely and utterly flat it is simply not geared
towards concerts at all - as is often the case with open air
"venues".

You can't see a sausage until you get much further back, then you're
so far back that unless you have binoculars the only sausages you'll
see are in the hot dog vans :O)

Oh, and let's not even go so far as how long it'll take you to get
out of the crowd to go for a piss!

Absolutely smacks of "we've got this dirty great bit of land in the
middle of London, wander just how much more cash we can squeeze out
of it by bunging something in there!"

As i say, thankfully for us, a performance that puts virtually all
i've seen in my life to shame saved the day.

Just thought i'd mention it though!

Martin.
