The tube kneck
Round the yoke ring area has this connector unused now
But used when it was a tv ?

Yes, G1 pin is grounded.

Unused connector is the scan velocity modulation coil (that can be seen under the convergence rings). The chassis doesn't have a circuit to drive it so it will not be used. No problem.

although that could be just the pin of the screen volts wire causing a slight shadow

Did you cut the cable and re-solder on fresh metal? Solder won't stick to that burnt metal from cable.

I didn’t mate no ok só will do that …

I have just started to get some crackles of high voltage from under anode cap Só just cleaning
That area and adding diaelectic grease

And also cap it asap ( this week some point )
