This is the latest bit of homebrew code I recently finished, a Poor Man's Pacman multigame. It only plays 2 games, Pacman and Ms Pacman, I wasn't interested in any of the other games that run on this hardware (multigame kits are available elsewhere and I didn't want to spend £150 on such a kit!)
For both games it offers the following features:-
Freeplay (maintaining attract mode)
Lets you choose easy or hard version of the game (remembered on power-down)
10 position high score tables with 3-letter initial entry
High scores saved (with separate high score tables for easy and hard versions of either game)
Original ghost patterns maintained for Pacman
Not menu-driven, all selected using the joystick on power-up
You can select Pacman or Ms Pacman on power-up, or it remembers your previous choice
You can reset individual high score tables (not all at once)
Runs on the same Z80 high score save board as my other mods, plus a graphics board that plugs into where one of the graphics ROMs usually goes, linked with a ribbon cable
Currently being tested, should be released in the next couple of weeks
