Just been looking around evilbay US and I know I've been out of this game for quite a while but even so $50 shipping seems a bit steep, is this now the norm if we (Europe) want to deal with US sellers?

Cheers

Chris

Anyhoo, sounds steep but I think I have paid around that mark on pcbs in the last year. sellers seem relatively high on shipping these days or really not keen on shipping outside the US, presumably they've had too much trouble form international sellers but on the plus side their stuff is usually cheaper which helps offset it a little (until customs get you).

Aye $50 for most things seems to be the norm these days

, i dont think it's hugely greedy sellers though, more like USPS standard rates.

I seem to remember hearing something like, ebay force them to use USPS or something along those lines. Something to do with buyer protection and tracking, and it being the only courier ebay US trust for exports ?.
I could be wrong !.

Thanks for that guys, in that case I may have to get them shipped to a friend in San Diego and get him to smuggle them back for me in return for a suitcase full of yorkshire tea, english chocolate, marmite and a few other items when he comes back over to visit his folks
