I guess PSP is bordering on retro these days!

So, come on then, what cool things can I do with a PSP these days? It's already hacked / Pandora'd

It's a PSP-Phat model no. PSP1003 currently running 4.01 M33-2

Only downside to it is that the battery never seems to have any power in it whenever you pick it up, though I have to confess that I can never remember which way to turn it off for standby versus which way to truly switch off so maybe it's getting put in standby all the time and then not used for 6 months on end.

To not put the forum in disrepute, no links to anything illegal, I can google for links

Must take the battery out when not in use, I have 3 batteries and they all go flat if left in, (It keeps the time etc... but isn't very efficient at doing it)
And my PSP had standby turned off from day one.

As for what to do with it, mines just full of PSP arcade iso's (like Capcom classics, Salamander portable, midway arcade treasures, SNK classics etc....etc....)

Other than that it's full of music and videos, oh and mame for it, but that is slow only 8 bit stuff works ok.
I'm sure someone on here knows some kewl hacking sh*te you can do with it...

Glad it's not just me then! I take it if I take the battery out, it won't then keep the time? Probably not a big deal. The key thing is, if we can find something useful to do / play on it, then it'll get used enough that the battery won't keep going flat anyway. Plus it's the original battery from when PSPs first came out so I guess it's past it's best and could do with replacing now anyway.

I'm not really interested in emulation I don't think but only really since the whole concept of back porting everything for every new platform that comes out get's pretty tired after the Nth new platform

I'm trying out a few homebrew titles at the moment (Chuckie Egg for instance - now that IS worth it!). Just trying to remember what to do with an eboot file!

I would download a dev kit for it and start playing about but I know my efforts would never come to anything so that all seems pretty pointless at the end of the day.

It's just that we've had a mass clear up / out over the weekend and the PSP was just sat there on the dining room table at the end of it which made me wonder what we were going to do with it.
