It is possible to restore it!
My Star Wars came to me like that. It had Konami GT in it. But, the cab
was in great shape. At the time I doubted whether I would *ever* be able
to get the bits together to restore it. Over 2-3 years I started to get
the stuff together as "opportunities presented themselves".
3 Star Wars board sets came from a camp site in Canada whilst on
holiday.
Tube, CP, loom and some scrap Ampliphone boards in a mega trade with
someone who'd scrapped a knackered cabinet. Controller from an old
Firefox.
New HT from Wintron. Cap kit from Zanen. Other transistors from a TV
supply place. Enough to re-build the scrapped defl. boards.
Seat from a generic driving game to cover the gear-shift hole and a
speaker grill to cover the pedal hole.
With all the parts to hand, I re-built it whilst waiting for my Visa
earlier this year (those who came to the meet played it until the
mathbox packed in)
I could have MAMED it instead, I suppose
Regards,
Paul.
