For those of us who did not live through the 2nd world war (probably all of us) this is easily the biggest threat of our entire lives.

My parents, of whom only my mother survives, lived through that war and gave my sister and me a childhood they could only have dreamed of. Most of us lost family in that war. That war was fought to keep us free.

We are so lucky to live in this country. It's not so great anymore, but it's still Britain.

I stood this evening, as many others did, applauding the NHS workers who are dieing trying to save our lives. These peple are the soldiers of today, only this time the enemy is invisible.

It's only a matter of time until I lose family and friends to this enemy. My closest friends already have.

If I do survive this it will be a miracle as I have all the underlyeing conditions the government is warning about. And it's almost a 'given' that we will all get this desease.

Our government, like it or loathe it, are (I believe) doing the best they can to keep this country afloat in this ocean of sh*te. They have bailed out business and are finally propping up up our fantastic health service after years of criminal neglect. It's late, but it's hopefully never too late.

'Social Distancing' (a phrase I detest) is now the single most important aspect to our health and well being. There can be no denying this fact.

For 5 years in WW2 our families sheltered in tube stations while bombs destroyed their homes. And their loved ones, our grandfathers, were dieing in trenches.

We've been in a partial lockdown for only 3 weeks now. In the grand scheme of things this is not even a spit in the ocean.

Yet last weekend. and the weekend before that, (and almost certainly this 4 day weekend), hundreds of thousands of UK citizens think it ok, clever even, to ignore these new laws.

Is it too much to ask of these people to abide by a few very simple rules for the common good?

The pratts amongst us who are just not getting this are among the most stupid, entitled, ignorant. arrogant and dangerous humans to have ever existed in this country. Are these morons really the poeple my ancestors fought for?

These 'people' are a threat to themselves and others. They are a threat to us! They must be deterred through strict laws that must be upheld by our police. And if they can't deal with it the army must be called in to assist. And punishments must be severe.

I wonder sometimes if the human race is even worth saving. Maybe there really is a God. And He has given up on us.

I hope not.

Fingers crossed this will be over in the next few months.

The Chinese have no new confirmed cases and is sharing their isolating protocol with the world.

It's a worldwide pandemic and so all the top mind's are working on a vacinne. It's only a matter of time until this is beaten.

Both my parents are diabetic and have underlying health conditions. They are staying in doors, following government health guidelines.

It is a scary time, more so for the NHS staff, delivery drivers, shop staff and other key workers who are putting their lives at risk everyday and keeping the country running.

We've just got to follow the guidelines.

Keep safe

hi :

Interesting sirs. Remember hope is a good thing. Simply simplify your thoughts. For all our faults, there is often a kind thing that befalls us all at times.
Should this not occur, hopefully a velvet of peace releaves you of your stress in the final thoughs. We all start dying at our birth.
