What's the deal with this? I haven't listed stuff for a while, and now when I list something, I'm told I can't charge more than X amount for P&P - an amount which is WAY too low for the items I'm sending.

I know, it's really annoying, I tried to sell an X-arcade stick and it wouldn't give me even close to the postage costs, they want you to up the the initial auction or buy it now amount so they get more fees.

Also it doesn't account for if you are selling "lots", so the items could be really heavy but ebay just wont let you charge more, I hate it 'cos I always start my auctions at 99p but charge actual postage costs, now I feel like I am losing money everytime I go to post.

Yeah, I was listing a job lot of something, but the p&p max wouldn't even cover sending one! I often seem to lose money on postage.

That's what I do, but for some things I like to offer different p&p options and when selling abroad, you need to set a higher rate etc.

They take 10% of the postage cost money in fees as well, I just factor it into the price and do free postage or mark and send it by courier, which is cheaper most of the time if you are sending parcels.

Just list it under another Category, searches will still find it in the description! Just another greedy C@nt move by Greedbay as also taking 10% of postage cost is just bang out of order!!!

Agreed. They're too big now and don't give a s**t. They have the market though unfortunately and I can't see there being a viable alternative anytime soon. Even if there was, I bet eBay would buy them out or take them over!

Rip off bastards.

I had an account on there and managed to sell FA in Months! totally useless site

Not that I have a Facebook account, but would love to see them create a Glogal auction site rather than just the local selling pages some useres create

Just listed on eBay and found the same thing ,could olny put $12 on shipping ,take into account the NZ dollar and the fact an international sale travels half way around the world ,ended up writing in description postage at buyers expense ,would it be fround upon to put a link to my sales ,selling to fund repair of my Star Wars arcade

You're free to post them in the 'auctions and ebay' forum, assuming what you're selling is arcade related.
