Very sad news. Rik's shows were a part of our lives growing up.
Managed to catch a Bottom Live show a few years ago so glad I did.

when I heard the news I was crying inside, he was and always will be my one and only hero

first started watching him (around 11 yrs old) in Bottom and then the Young Ones and then I started watching all his early stuff like Comic Strip Presents, The Dangerous Brothers, Four men in a Car, New Satesman and everything else inbetween,
