Screen off to one side even after adjustment

So this monitor originally came to me with the screen off to one side but a bit onf tinkering with the H-Pos evened it all up for me.

Turned my machine on today and it had moved again, so adjusted once more but its still about 1-2 inches off and i cant turn the H-Pos any further.

Is this an indication that something has gone wrong with the monitor, potential capacitor issues or something?

Usually leaky caps, probably nothing too serious.

I'm guessing i would need to take the chassis out to do this

i either need to put on my big boy pants or find someone who can do this for me, i'm not really ready for death just yet

Yeah unless you have the right gear....desoldering gun, temp controlled iron, proper flux/decent solder etc. it can be a bit of a pain.

There's a couple of guys on here that will do it for you if you post it to them, but you'd need to remove the chassis yourself.

There's a few decent guides online/youtube for discharging the monitor before you remove everything. Just take plenty of photos so you know how to plug it all back in.

It’s way less scary than you might think.

Take it slow and steady and you can discharge in seconds.
